SIMMS 2014 Product Line | According to SIMMS

Most categories see generous additions and updates, but most notably are new offerings in sportswear, packs, footwear and waders.  “The Spring 2014 lineup is the first line that displays the talents of our revamped Research, Development, Sourcing and Design Team here at Simms.  In our most important categories, the team has put together an impressive Spring 2014 line,” says Simms President K.C. Walsh.

In sportswear, Simms has restructured its line in 4 new collections that, in total, have 27 new styles ranging from high-tech fishing shirts to off-water staples.  The G4 Collection includes the fish-techie Taimen TriComp LS Shirt ($149.95 MSRP) and the GT TriComp LS Shirt ($119.95).  The Simms Guide Series Collection features new-for-2014 shirts and shorts including redesigned favorites Guide LS Shirt ($79.95) and Ultralight LS Shirt ($99.95) and newcomer Grand Slam LS Shirt ($89.95).

Simms’ expanded line of Solarflex™ offerings includes the Currents Hoody ($64.95) and Waypoint LS Crewneck ($59.95) to accompany favorites like the Solarflex™ LS Shirt (starting at $39.95) and the redesigned Surf Short ($49.95).  All combine at least UPF30 protection and COR3™ technology.  Nine new styles encompass the Off-Water Series with casual styling and UPF30+ protection.

Simms’ new line of Headwaters™ Packs resets the expectation for on-water storage combined with engineered designs to provide the ultimate in comfort, balance & features.  Two Day Packs (Headwaters™ Full Day and Half-Day) provide enough storage for a day on the water.  The Headwaters™ Guide Hip Pack ($119.95), Hip Pack ($99.95) and Chest Pack ($89.95) provide innovative storage architecture to thoughtfully stow any angler’s quiver of gear.

The Headwaters™ Large Sling Pack ($119.95) and Sling Pack ($89.95) allow quick access to more than enough gear, but stow away for unimpeded casting action.

“The Headwaters™ line of packs vaults Simms to the top of the pack world with models for any type of angler,” says Rich Hohne, Online Marketing & PR Manager.

The Simms 2014 Footwear line sees the addition of two new wading platforms and new sole technologies.  The best-in-class G4 BOA® Boot ($239.95) and G3 Guide™ Boot ($199.95) take advantage of the new RiverTread™ Platform, which features a new Vibram® Idrogrip rubber outsole.  For the on-the-go angler, the Vapor Boot ($169.95) is the lightest boot ever from Simms thanks to the new VaporTread™ Platform and Vibram® Megagrip® rubber outsole.

What would a new Simms line be without the world’s best waders?  Well, Simms doesn’t disappoint for 2014 with the re-design of the industry-leading G3 Guide™ Stockingfoots ($499.95) and G3 Guide™ Pant ($499.95).  Both incorporate the new GORE-TEX® 5-layer Pro Shell Technology that is 25% more breathable than its predecessor. In addition to these G3 Guide™ updates, Simms will launch a “show-to-go” program for Fall 2013 with a new G3 Guide™ Bootfoot wader featuring two sole options.

For the angler who requires a lighter, but bomber wader, Simms announces the new Headwaters™ Convertible Stockingfoots ($399.95) with 3-layer GORE-TEX® Pro Shell Technology.  Easily convertible from chest high to waist high, the Headwaters™ Convertible is destined to be a favorite in the Simms wader stable.

Rounding out the Spring 2014 line from Simms is the Made in Montana Simms Plier ($159.95) and Nipper ($29.95) as well as the redesign of numerous Simms wading accessories.
