Silly Sunday Scenery Wooden Boat, Dog, Fishing, Fall Colors

Really great scenery this time of year.

Truly great fishing too.

A really quite good tiny baetis bite in the morning and the afternoons with overcast skies keeps those bugs glued to the water.

Shaping up to be one of the better October periods in some time. Just waiting not he bigger BWO’s to show.

Soon. I think soon.

Give your dog a break from hunting up those upland birds, trailer up your killer classic wooden drifter, stuff the kids in the Family Truckster, and head out to your local river.

And breathe deeply…

  1. I was up from Idaho, without my boat, on Friday and did some wade fishing. Caught a real nice fat Rainbow on a soft hackle. My son who is a sophomore at Montana Tech joined me for the day. He broke his custom rod while tangled in a small tree which made us both sick. Thanks again for all the great information. I stopped by the shop on the way home to buy a lot of fly tying materials.
