Silly Sunday Scenery Mid August

Hay in the fields. For the second time. A third? Doubtful.

Hot today. Hot this week. Maybe cracking the painfully desperate century mark.

Lame.

But it is August. Good hopper fishing during the day. Not late. Go home and rest in the heat of the day. Then eat at Izaak’s. Then go to bed. then start early again the following morning.

Mediocre at best Trico fishing the past couple weeks. Maybe it will turn? It certainly can in the heat as the bugs can turn up the volume as well.

A sot period historically for the Mighty Mo as kids go back to school. the fishing is not red hot, and we take a breather for a couple weeks prepping for a busy September ad October reaching out until Thanksgiving.

Trout Spey season will be upon us shortly. October Caddis coming. Pseudocloeons coming, just awful bugs. More ants and hoppers and Trico’s and beetles and that autumn caddis that is tannish and 14, and great nymphing just around the bend too. Streamer junkies getting prepped as well.
