Allison with her first trout – a nice Rainbow – followed by her first Brown Trout a few minutes later. Nice job Allison. Guide Peter Skidmore seems to know whats going on. You get that way when you’re on the water every day for 5 months.
First fish are special. You can tell by the smile. There is just a little more excitement than the typical Grip ‘n Grin.
Things are getting quiet on the river, typical of late August. Time for school shopping, football practice and re-applying to your department head at the U after those crappy grades last spring. Not enough time for some to go fishing. Those that do find the time – like Allison – are rewarded.
