Hump Day on the Mo

Welcome Spring! Hump Day on the Mo

The new South Fork Skiff at rest. You can order yourself up one at Adipose Boatworks of Helena.

Enjoyed fishing in this last week with Shane of HH and Justin of Adipose.

A perfect craft for those minimalists. Of which, in this game, there are few.

Lightweight, manuevable, stealthy. Perfect.

Swing on in to the Adipose @ 350 Wilkerson when in Helena.

Warm temps today. Lots of anglers out including lots of spring time lure anglers. They re getting it done. Pre-weeds is the best time for flinging some hardware out there. Pretty fun. I enjoy tossing gear once in a while too. A change of pace.

Plus I forgot that fly fishing tangles are nothing like a rat’s nest of monofilament. Jut like fly fishing, mistakes happen when you didn’t even do anything!

Nothing!

Mid 50’s today. Maybe some weather this weekend. We have a series of Trout Spey Education this weekend with Whitney Gould and Mike McCune. Kick ass spey learning form these two highly regarded instructors.

Spring Special in full effect with guides out daily from here on out til Mid November. $400 guide trips and lodging options at Craig Trout Camp starting at $150. We have the largest variety of nightly lodging on the Missouri River. Call today for our help finding the perfect spring or summer river get-a-way. Lots of lidding offered at 30% off and more!

March and April are fantastic nymphing months. Really good swinging too. Some good dry fly stuff including some big boys on attractor patterns. Streamer anglers get excited as we move into Aril and the water temps allow those trout to chase hard!

Enjoying the second day of Spring today…Hooray! A warm one and I for one am going fishing. I hope to swing a couple up. If not, get my first sunburn of the season!

Enjoyed the Vernal Equinox yesterday. Bring on the sun!
