George Harrison Sings Today Headhunters Blog
Love this tune. A good one to sing at work today.
And George looks like any river guide we see these days. Bearded with guitar, dog, Tundra, Adipose, part-time girlfriend wanting to go to Bangladesh.
Not much to report today other than the water is coming up. Higher Ground by Red Hot Chili Peppers comes to mind. The water temps have risen too to 45F. Things are happening.
You may have to look a bit harder to find them with the water moving. And the fish do not like the rising tide much. They really don’t mind it if the gauge is diminishing. So hold your head high if you are getting your teeth kicked in.
Just hum along with one of the Beatles, George Harrison, today Headhunters Blog style.
Shop open longer hours as we move into the later part of the month with hot perked coffee in an urn large enough to fill your Thermos on us!
A good sale rack rolling, demo rods, demo lines for yor two handed Trout Spey rod, guides, shuttles, rental boats, and more at the friendly fly shop located next to Izaak’s in Craig Montana.

Headhunters daily blog posts (and Facebook page) are always solid gold, but for the past two weeks or so, the “Terrific Trio” has been platinum! Too corny?Dont care because I’m old. Old enough that for $4.50 a pop for tickets-yeah, $4.50- my oldest brother took me to Dodger Stadium in LA to see the Beatles live in August of 66. Only songs I remember are Yesterday and I Wanna Hold Your Hand. And I remember the riot after the concert. And the girls’ screaming about blew my hair off. Cool, huh?
And thanks for mentioning that the rising water unsettles the fish in today’s post. I mentioned that at coffee yesterday and got an ass-chewing from my Mark-groupie buddies. “If he didn’t post it in the blog it’s not an issue””. Your fans are loyal, dude.
Lastly, the beginner fly fisherman in our
group, a newly retired businessman friend, asked us two entomology questions that need to be referred to Braden, your resident bug expert.
1. Since the BWOs prefer damp rainy weather to hatch big time, how do they know it’s raining?
2.if a Kreelix imitates a minnow, why is it referred to as a “fly”? Do they hatch?
He asked. Seriously. I have no reply.
Keep rocking platinum, HH!
Russ, thanks for the kind words. Regarding your BWO question, I’ll refer you to this blog post by Mark that nails it on the head:

We’ll let your buddy continue to ponder his question about the kreelex “fly.”
Don’t think they were playing I want to hold your hand live during their 1966 shows
I Wanna Be Your Man. Sorry. Long time ago
Excellent ! Made my day!
