August has arrived and the weather is cooling. Hooray.
Our guides are happy and some of them have a day or two of rest under their belts as we slow to a normal pace moving away from that frenetic July barrage of bugs, fish, guests, and friends.
John, Julie, Sara, and Mark are out of town in Salt Lake City attending the Outdoor Retailer show learning and seeing the new products for 2014. While it seems like fun, they will remind you that it is hard work. Meeting with company representatives, seminars about how to better serve our customers, afternoon parties with free beer from Sierra Nevada and Food Trucks and live music…whew, it’s a tough battle and we are happy to suffer the pain for you, the Headhunters customer.
They do not allow pictures from the show, but Squeeky and Scumliner have snapped a few images and are updating the Facebook Page and the Twitter feed many times throughout the day. You can see the updates by tuning into either of these social channels.
More from the show today later as we must pop into a meeting soon.
August Arrival, Fall Preparation
The fantastic staff at the shop should be holding down the fort while we are away and feel free to get one of them on the phone to book your fall fishing trip. Now that you can breathe, think about those fall baetis and streamer plans. Dream away today with the weekend rapidly approaching.
Overcast days with fish freely rising to BWO’s, drizzle on the horizon, the streamer rod close at hand, and all those brown trout waiting for your approval…
