Astrud Gilberto Stan Getz Girl from Ipanema
Still snowing. Calm. Perfect.
About 6″ in Cascade. A bit less this morning in Craig. Calm.
8.5″ in Great Falls. More on the way here in Montana.
So I drift towards Bossa Nova and warm summer tunes.
One of the classic jazz standards along with a tune that Astrud Gilberto was put on the map for. Penned by Antonio Carlos Jobim, and those who walk in the jazz circles will certainly know, Ipanema is widely known and covered by artists for many generations.
While the warmth of Ipanema is strong it cannot hide the snow onto ground. That’s OK. We encourage the fall and early winter weather with the bugs responding, the river traffic dwindling, and seasonal weather patterns settling in.
Football on today. Baseball on tonight. A good day to prep for your upcoming week. Think about a trip out to MT this fall and swing the fly for some eager trout on the Mo.
Enjoy your last day of Salome before the work week begins.
