HEADHUNTERS SAYS The Lamson Remix HD is a reel we carry specifically for Trout Spey fishing, but can also be used for 7 and 8 weight bass and pike outfits. The Remix HD has a full cage that prevents shooting line from slipping between the frame and spool. This is a super important issue if you throw shooting heads on mono running line. The excellent Lamson conical drag is a durable and smooth system that won’t let you down. The Remix is a 3.98″ reel that will work great with 3, 4 and 5wt two-handed rods, providing a lightweight reel with a large diameter spool that retrieves line quickly.
