Dearborn River Fishing Report 6.10.20

Not too bad out there on the Dearborn River. Fished it yesterday with Chef John of Izaak’s and Steve of Headhunters Fly Shop.

A few fish caught on a Rubberlegs dangled below a fluffy dry fly. Two fish tried to eat the dry fly, or at least looked at it. 1 refusal, 1 half assed take I think. But none on the top fly.

Threw some Golden Stone dries and a few Salmonfly patterns with no success in the latter half of the day.

Two boats onto water. Super nice to have the place to ourselves!

Flat Creek was blown out. The rest of the river was in fine shape. Right now the river is dropping quickly. Ad it was yesterday too.

300cfs-600cfs is the prime floating and fishing flows. That time is flashing by us now.

Call for shuttles to the Dearborn @ 406-235-3447. We’d love to help. We also have Dearborn flies in stock as well as Blackfoot River flies for your summer love.

Enjoy our local freestone while you can. Meaning this weekend! Check the flows or call us at the shop for up to the minute information regarding the Dearborn and the Mighty Mo!
