New Boat Smell Wilson Edition

Shane Wilson of Headhunters Fly Shop just got his Adipose Boatworks Flow. He is stoked!

He traded in his last boat and got this beauty.

Why do most Headhunters guides float this boat on the Missouri River? Ease of use. Stability. Customer satisfaction.

We love this boat. And we love other boats too.

I had always said that I would have rowed my Clackacraft until the day I died. A great boat. That LP is fantastic. A nice rowing boat. Looks like a drift boat too. I once had a producer of a TV show that we did here on the Mo ask me if we were gonna shoot the show in my Adipose. I said yes, that is my boat. He frowned and said, “We would rather shoot the show with you in a pointy boat. It looks more like Montana.” We shot the boat in my Flow skiff.

Whoever said that fishing guides are stubborn…is totally right?!

Back to Shane. He is pretty excited. Shane will be guiding full time for us this season. A couple years in the shop and now on the river daily. A few of our guides have moved on to the outfitter designation in the past couple years allowing for new blood in our guide pool. Best of luck to those fellas and we are excited for the opportunities of these hungry guides!

You can get your new Adipose Flow by looking the boys up in Helena Montana.

This weekend the weather and air temps will be much different. We do have a group up from Utah and another over from Missoula. We will certainly have the Great Falls and Helena anglers out there swinging a few up. The nymphers will be targeting slow tank like winter waters.

Stop in to stand in front of the heater when you need to warm up. Free rot-gut coffee all day long. The best in winter flies. Shuttles. Information on how to improve your game. Consistency is what you get from Headhunters in Craig. The only shop open everyday but Christmas. Your trout fishing mecca while near Montana’s Missouri River.

  1. Congratulations Shane, just knew you would have a new boat the day I saw you and your wife in looking at colors,
and discussing the details. I can’t wait to pick up our new one in a few weeks. Cheers.
