Snowy Missouri River Monday Fishing Report 10.28.13

This image from last week. It was sunny then. And relatively warm in the afternoons. Not so today.

The BWO’s love this type of weather. Actually, the BWO’s don’t care. The fish like to eat them as they stay on top of the water longer. They hatch just fine with the sun.

Cold wet wings accompanied by cooler daytime air temps lengthen the time needed to dry those slate gray wings before flight.

The wind does not help. Windy, breezy here this am. Not may boats moving yet. None to be sure.

There will be some folks out today, and certainly tomorrow as the weather will temporarily warm to 40F. Sun on Wednesday, then back to overcast skies and additional snow showers.

Good to great hatches on the horizon for us here on the Missouri River. Streamer fishing should be OK too…

Snow-Fly Hotline 877-DRY-FLYS for up to the second fishing reports, lodging reservations, 2014 bookings, and if you just feel like jabbering about Mo River Trout.
