Sayonara Firegirl

You’ll notice a missing element when you visit Headhunters this fall. Jess “Firegirl” McGlothlin has packed her bags and headed off to the west coast to pursue her photography career in a more full time manner. Requests for Jess to shoot images for a variety of companies in the outdoor industry and produce photo/articles for fly fishing magazines has increased to the point that she no longer has to supplement her income working in a fly shop. Great for Jess, bummer for Headhunters.

Why the foot? That’s the last image I have of her in Craig. Kicking it in the drift boat, Firegirl style.

Good luck Jess! You’ll be missed around here. We look forward to seeing your work in the mag’s and catalog’s. Don’t let that Puget Sound traffic get you down.

Keep up with what Jess is doing on her blog, or check out her image portfolio. We will.

  1. Thanks, Headhunters team, for the memories!  It was a memorable summer and I enjoyed being part of the family for a while.
I’ll be back to fish, and anyone is welcome to come fish the OP with me… any time!

  2. What a great addition to your team this past summer. Really enjoyed the great photo’s and short stories she shared with us blog followers
as she worked in the shop, ran shuttles and did her various duties. Taking nothing away from your other great staff, I will miss her photos
    and stories. Good luck

Best of luck to you as well in the coming winter season!

  3. Jess was a great addition to the shop this summer! I’ll miss her, but I wish her the best. She’s a terrific photographer and I’m sure we’ll be seeing her work. Follow the firegirlphotography link and take a look at her portfolio!

    • Hey Bob, such a pleasure to meet you!  You’ll be seeing more work around for sure.

I look forward to fishing with the crew whenever I’m back in ‘Mo country.
